QUESTIONS

  • FROM WHAT AGE CAN SOMEONE FLY?
    • As soon as they no longer use a dummy! More seriously, it is generally possible to fly from 4 years up. From this age, someone is really conscious of flying. Our pilots are state-qualified and some are ESF instructors for skiing or snowboarding.
  • WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM AUTHORISED WEIGHT FOR A FLIGHT?
    • It depends on the weight of the pilot and the size of his wing. At the Atelier du Vent, the maximum weight of the passenger must not exceed 100 kg during the summer and 130 kg during the winter.
  • I SUFFER FROM VERTIGO: CAN I FLY?
    • The feeling of vertigo doesn’t exist as we are not in contact with the ground! You can therefore fly without fear.
  • CAN A FLIGHT BE CURTAILED?
    • Our pilots are all experts at quick, gentle landings and we can end your flight if you wish or in an emergency without any difficulty.
  • CAN I TAKE MY PHONE WITH ME DURING THE FLIGHT?
    • Yes, you can, but you will be liable for any losses. Pilots never get out their phones in the air. Otherwise, pilots are equipped with a latest generation GoPro HD camera to record your flight as a souvenir. Settle in comfortably, enjoy your flight and they’ll look after the rest!
  • IS THERE AN “AIR HOLE” FEELING?
    • No. Air is fluid, like water, so there are no holes! Paragliding flights take place at wind speeds which do not allow the feeling of an “air hole”. We go gently!
  • CAN I PILOT MY OWN FLIGHT?
    • Yes, at the Atelier du Vent, our experienced team adapts the flight to each individual. We respond to your wishes during the flight. The human in the heart of the sky! You are supported by a professionally qualified paragliding instructor. He or she is authorised to allow you to take the controls!
